Carl Jürgen, the eldest son, born in Costa Rica in 1932, made a significant impact on coffee exports about 25 years later. He played a pivotal role in bringing Costa Rica's exceptional coffee to various cities across Europe, where it was always highly valued.

During fascinating times, Carl built his business on mutual trust, without relying on paperwork or contracts, but through understanding and confidence. He visited Europe to attract clients, and these relationships encouraged them to visit Costa Rica and explore its coffee farms. After retiring from coffee exports, at the age of 90, Carl purchased a farm in the Orosi Valley in 1994. He continued to nurture his passion for coffee, taking charge of production and dedicating his life to preserving this rich legacy.
